Transitioning off Staff

“To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:”(Ecclesiastes 3:1)

How true is this verse?! Over the past few weeks this verse has continually come to the for front of my mind. I’ve had a lot of transitions and changes recently, and I know more is to come, but this verse brings comfort to know that all seasons have a purpose. Every change has a reason.

While it might only be the beginning of September, I LOVE fall and always enjoy when it’s season begins to show glimpses of the transformation that soon will take place around us.

Nature has a funny way of teaching us life lesson over and over again, even when we are to distracted or busy to notice them. But one thing I’m learning (and will probably have to relearn my whole life) is to slow down and enjoy the season of life I am in now. I only get to live this day once.

Tomorrow is my last officially day on staff as the Generations Director for Alive Family Church (however, till borders open up, I will still be actively apart and serving at Alive church till I leave on my 6 month missions trip) I have been with them from the very beginning (four years ago) and was honored to be there first official staff member 2 years ago!

To everything there is a season, and I have loved this season. With all the ups and downs it has brought. I have learned so much and I’m thankful for so much. And while I know more great transitions are to come for me and for Alive Church, it’s still an end and endings are hard.

All this to say, yeah for transitions, yeah for seasons change, yeah to Fall and yeah for hopefully no tears tomorrow since this is just an end and not a goodbye (yet).Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.

Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
